Dagestan, from the Caspian Sea to Caucasus valleys
Dagestan gives Flight Simulator an ideal contrast: a broad coastal plain along the Caspian Sea, then terrain that quickly tightens into Caucasus valleys.
Andrey Anta’s scenery makes the loop much livelier. In a touring single, the journey remains short, readable and demanding enough to deserve real preparation.
A loop between coast, plain and mountains.
Slow, agile and suited to tight arrivals.
References change quickly during the flight.
Radio aids help cross-check progress.
Understanding the flight
The plan is interesting because it is dense. In little distance, the pilot moves from comfortable coastal navigation to more demanding valleys.
Read the circuit as a regional discovery: each branch adds relief, both geographically and narratively.
Before departure
- Fly by chapters rather than as a simple list of fields.
- Keep believable weather and record winds, altitudes, fuel and diversions.
- Load the main points on the map before departure to keep the route readable.
- Accept a slower pace: these plans become more immersive when the logbook can breathe.

Experience tips
Keep NDB frequencies within reach: they help when valleys hide visual references.
The loop is not long, but it deserves moderate speed to enjoy the changing scenery.
