Krasnoyarsk Krai, 3000 km of Siberia
Krasnoyarsk Krai crosses Russia from the Arctic north to the gates of Khakassia. This route descends gradually from nearly empty landscapes to taiga, industrial towns and southern Siberian terrain.
Andrey Anta’s sceneries provide the references needed to make the crossing credible. Prepare it as a regional expedition: fuel, daylight, weather and diversion options.
A north-south crossing of central Siberia.
Isolation is the main subject.
Endurance and visibility come first.
References become denser toward the south.
Understanding the flight
The pleasure comes from landscape evolution: the north is almost empty, then the route gradually joins inhabited areas.
Read the map as a descent toward civilisation, not as a straight line.
Before departure
- Install Andrey Anta’s krasnoyarsk_region scenery if you use it.
- Prepare comfortable fuel margins on northern legs.
- Fly by day: the plan is about visual progression.
- Keep track of possible refuelling points.

Experience tips
Do not underestimate the north: few references, few alternates, a lot of distance.
The route becomes livelier as you descend. Let that progression breathe.
