Overview
Dino Cattaneo’s M-346 Master for Prepar3D v4 and v5 is former payware now available free of charge. Its exterior and virtual cockpit use high-resolution textures and PBR materials. HUD, MFD and UFCP interfaces and procedures draw on the real flight manual, while flight performance uses publicly available data.
Liveries represent the Italian, Polish, Singaporean and Israeli air forces, together with the T-100 programme.
Without VRS TacPack, these functions are unavailable:
- Fire-control radar and TFLIR imaging.
- Loadout configurator — loads can still be changed manually.
- AIM-9L, IRIS-T, LGB-12, practice bombs and rockets.
- Radar warning receiver and flare/chaff release.
Limited Sim Skunk Works vACMI support covers air-to-air missiles, LGB-12 and countermeasures. The real M-346 is a twin-engine trainer derived from the joint Yak/AEM-130 programme. Italian and Russian development separated after the partnership ended in 2000, and the M-346 first flew in 2004.
