Overview
This Antonov An-225 package uses Thomas Ruth’s model, ten HD liveries by Dagobert.D and sounds by Mike Hambly and Riuji Ozawa. Rikoooo assembled the package, revised the flight model and Aircraft.cfg, added camera views and adapted the virtual-cockpit gauges for FSX/Prepar3D. The August 2019 update adds Prepar3D v4 and later compatibility.
The ten paint schemes are Aeroflot, RAAF Camo Australia, BBC CCCP, DAAFAR Camo Cuba, Manner, RASF Camo Saudi, AAF Camo Snow, UN Camo Yemen, French AF Camo Yemen and Austria. Several are fictional; inclusion does not mean the named organisations operated the real aircraft.
The supplied guidance for this model calls for a wide runway at least 3 km long, at least 15° of flap and an indicative take-off speed of 150–160 knots. Allow runway margin and account for weight and conditions; these figures are not guaranteed performance for every loading.
Press I for the smoke effect. The model’s span and lengthy take-off run reward planning the taxi route and selecting a suitable airfield before loading.
