Overview
This Antonov An-24RV uses different navigation arrangements depending on the simulator. In FSX and FSX Steam Edition, install the 32-bit KLN90B GPS gauge once per simulator to avoid the “could not load gauges /sc_acc.dll” error. The old direct download is currently unavailable; consult the author’s KLN90B gauge information.
Do not install that 32-bit gauge for Prepar3D v4. Rikoooo’s adaptation replaces the KLN90B with a limited-function version and provides a preconfigured Garmin 500 GPS. The autopilot has been adapted for P3Dv4. The August 2019 update also corrects full-power engine sounds and adds missing instruments; the FSX KLN90B arrangement is unchanged.
The package by Samdim Design, Andrey Felis, Yevgeniy (Bleyd) and Sergey (Dzies) contains four liveries: IzhAvia, AFL, Aeroflot and Tjumavi. Its fully 3D cockpit has modelled gauges, HD textures and many accessible switches across the panels. Dedicated sounds and animations round out this carefully detailed aircraft.
The real An-24 is a regional twin turboprop designed for airfields with limited facilities, seating 44–52 passengers depending on the layout. That role lends itself to short sectors and regional operations.
