Overview
This Bell 206B JetRanger III is based on Owen Hewitt’s 2005 FS2004 release, converted with his permission into a native FSX model by Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations. The conversion addresses display issues with the original model in FSX. The 21 October 2017 update adds Prepar3D v4 compatibility.
Version 1.1 revises texture assignments, several main-panel animations, materials, bump maps and specular maps. Textures use DXT1/DXT5 without mipmaps, except for the spinning rotor textures. Contact points on the float version are corrected.
Additions include rotor-slap sounds by Stephan Siebertz, flight dynamics by Jordan Moore / Hovercontrol, navigation lights by Nobu Aki and interior bump maps. Read the included manual before flying.
