Overview
This Bell 505 JetRanger X for FSX was created by George Arana and Oniel Black of Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations. The package includes several models, 18 liveries and a virtual cockpit. Rikoooo has also tested it in Prepar3D v4 and v5.
Cockpit and flight model
The cockpit uses basic G1000 instruments derived from the gauges supplied with FSX. This is a simplified avionics implementation, so it does not reproduce the full functionality of the real helicopter's G1000H.
The flight model is a modified version of the default FSX Bell 206 model, and the sounds also come from the default Bell 206. The textures use specular mapping for reflections and bump mapping for surface relief.
Included liveries
The 18 liveries cover private aircraft, civilian operators and police departments. Included are Prototype, White, Private, Fuchs Helikopter, Servicios Aereos Across, Chinook Helicopters LTD, Private 2, Private 3, Candycane 505, Hightskid 1, Hightskid 2, Hightskid 3, Hightskid 4, Stockton Police, Fort Worth Police, Leon County Sheriff's Office, Manatee County Sheriff's Office and SkyEye.
About the Bell 505
The real Bell 505 is a light, single-engine turbine helicopter with five seats: one for the pilot and four for passengers. Its roles include private transport, training and aerial utility work.
