Overview
The Bell X-22A was an American experimental aircraft of the 1960s, distinguished by four tilting ducted rotors. Michael Pook’s FSX update of Kazunori Ito’s model brings this unusual configuration to FSX and Prepar3D.
F6 and F7 control rotor tilt. The vertical, 90° position is used for vertical take-off; an angle of about 45° is associated with a short take-off run.
The package includes two liveries, one with a metallic finish, a basic virtual cockpit, a 2D panel and custom sounds. The real X-22 investigated vertical-lift transport concepts.
