Overview
Tim “Piglet” Conrad's Boeing 7072 Orion depicts the fictional space transport from 2001: A Space Odyssey. In FSX it is presented as a supersonic transport, with a detailed virtual cockpit, a working HUD and IBM-labelled displays.
The passenger cabin is also modelled, allowing you to take a passenger seat and watch the flight. Three textures are included: Pan American Airways, Japan Air Lines (JAL) and Decommissioned.
Originally built for FSX Acceleration, the model was adapted for FSX SP2. The original description reports tests at Mach 1.5 and 50,000 feet with the autopilot engaged. FSX SP1 and FSX without a service pack have not been tested.
Exploring the interior is as much a part of the package as high-speed flying. This is a fictional aircraft, and the stated performance belongs to this adaptation.
