Overview
The YSS-1000 Sabre from the Halo universe is adapted for FSX and Prepar3D by Bruce Fitzgerald, with instruments by Rob Barendregt. This fictional spacecraft uses a native model, custom sounds and afterburner effects.
Rob Barendregt’s Spacegauge v2.0 is fully integrated and configured. The instruments are available in the virtual cockpit and separate windows, with readouts suited to extreme altitudes and speeds. Virtual crew stations are provided for the pilot and the weapon systems officer (WSO).
The craft supports vertical takeoff and hovering at any altitude, with vertical and lateral control. Its stated climb capability runs from the ground to the simulator’s 10-million-foot ceiling in a single stage. With boost, the package quotes Mach 4.6 / 2,666 knots. These figures describe the fictional addon’s capabilities within the simulator.
