Overview
AlphaSim’s MiG-23 Flogger was converted natively for FSX/Prepar3D by LLS. It has MDLX lights, materials and animations, a 2D panel, a virtual cockpit with 3D switches and effects. The drag chute is animated only: it does not slow the aircraft.
External stores depend on weight settings or the loaded saved flight. Outside the strike configuration, the drop tank is controlled through the payload manager; RN28 stores use a dropped-object condition in a saved flight, and AS-6 visibility is set by the supplied flights. The missile animation uses “free rocket solution2”. These are functions of the simulated model.
Several saved flights are included under My Documents or Documents. Use them to load the intended configurations. The six paint schemes/configurations are:
- Strike Red-479(N), 190th Fighter Regiment, Kanatovo, circa 1987.
- AS Red-479(AS), 190th Fighter Regiment, Kanatovo, circa 1987.
- Yellow-49, unidentified VVA fighter regiment, circa 1987.
- Yellow-49 strike configuration, unidentified VVA fighter regiment, circa 1987.
- RED86 USAF Aggressor, Tonopah, circa 1987.
- Strike Red-58, AS-6 configuration.
Controls: Shift+E for the canopy; F for the drag chute, using the wing-fold command; F5–F8, the flap keys, for variable wing sweep.
