Learjet 45 World Tour: Extended Version

01

Understand the mission

Start with the historic context: it sets the atmosphere, aircraft choice and overall logic of the journey.

02

Prepare the simulator

Check scenery, recommended aircraft, fuel and weather before launching the first leg.

03

Follow the legs

Use the airport codes, flying times and route notes to build your navigation leg by leg.

A fast world tour designed as a long series

This extended version turns the Learjet 45 into the thread of an ambitious circumnavigation. It crosses the Americas, South Atlantic, Patagonia, North Pacific, Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean before returning to France.

The jet gives speed, but the plan remains demanding: fuel, weather, IFR/VFR stages, terrain and diversion choices keep the pilot involved.

AircraftLearjet 45

Fast, but not unlimited in range.

FormatExtended version

A collection of mini-journeys.

OptionBeech Baron interlude

A slower passage around American parks.

DifficultyLong range

IFR/VFR planning and fuel management.

Understanding the flight

The world tour is not a race. Its strength comes from seasons: Americas, North Pacific, Asia, Africa, Mediterranean.

The Learjet 45 limits matter. They prevent unrealistic shortcuts and give the route its coherence.

Before departure

  • Split the world tour into independent campaigns.
  • Prepare long legs with fuel, weather and alternates.
  • Keep the American interlude lower and slower if you use a Beech Baron.
  • Do not force Hawaii or French Polynesia if the range does not support it.

Experience tips

This plan is too rich to swallow in one go: treat it as a series of journeys.

The Learjet gives speed, but the logbook gives meaning.
