Overview
Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 for FS2004 includes three liveries and a dedicated sound set. The four-engine piston transport offers a way to explore airline flying from an earlier period than the jet age.
The real aircraft's military versions carried the C-54 Skymaster and R5D designations. They took part in the Berlin Airlift, while civil DC-4s helped expand post-war commercial air routes.
A regional flight makes a useful introduction, allowing time to become familiar with managing four engines without committing to a long crossing on the first outing.
