The Airbus A340 is a large-capacity, long-haul four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is available in several versions depending on the capacity or the desired range of action. This family of aircraft was designed with a design similar to that of Airbus A330, but is equipped with four reactors instead of two.
In June 1993, the A340 set two world records in a round-trip flight between Le Bourget Airport (France) and Auckland International Airport (New Zealand): a distance record with 19 014.31 km traveled without touching the ground, and a speed record with an average of 789.86 km/h. This record has since been beaten twice by Boeing 777s, the first time in April 1997. (source Wikipedia)

Updated on 26/09/2018 : Package is completely redone, new engine sounds CFM56-5 belonging to the A340-200, new FMC, added an Autoland system (read Autoland_Manual_v21.pdf), added a GPWS for Airbus, added FLIGHT DATA and V-Speed gauges, new ground management system, bug correction for VC gauges, new cabin crew announcements. Now 100% compatible with Prepar3D v4 - Installer v10.5
