A modern tour with the scale of a grand raid
In 2017, for the centenary of the United States entering the First World War, the Patrouille de France completed a major North American tour. This plan adapts that itinerary for Flight Simulator.
The Learjet 45 is suggested to recreate the support and transit flights. The route crosses the North Atlantic, follows displays and overflights across the United States, continues through Canada and returns to France.
How to fly it
- Treat the route as a tour log: ferry, display, stopover, then the next departure.
- New York, Cape Canaveral, Kansas City, Dallas, Monument Valley, Golden Gate, Montreal and Quebec are the visual highlights.
- The Greenland - Canada and Canada - Iceland crossings require more serious fuel and weather preparation.
