The Ganges, from mythical sky to delta
The Ganges carries major religious meaning. This plan translates its course into Flight Simulator, from the Himalayan foothills and Gangotri legend to the Bengal delta.
The first part requires altitude and caution, then the flight descends toward plains, sacred cities and river branches.
Mountain opening, then long river ribbon.
Follow cultural geography as much as an air route.
Ideal for mixing runways and water landings.
22,000 feet may be needed near Gangotri.
Understanding the flight
The idea that the Ganges once flowed in the sky gives the plan its meaning: the simulator lets a legend become landscape.
After the Himalaya, the experience changes: descend toward Rishikesh, Haridwar, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna and Bengal.
Before departure
- Use clear mountain weather and a large altitude margin near Gangotri.
- Prepare water landings with wind and escape direction.
- Use high scenery density if you want to identify towns more easily.
- Fly slower in the plain so the river remains the main reference.
Suggested route
Himalaya and sources
Dehradun, Gangotri, Rishikesh and Haridwar form the most vertical and spiritual part of the flight.
VIKA → VIAL → VIBN → VEPT
Sacred plain
Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi and Patna bring the flight down along the river and its major cities.
VEPT → VGRJ → VGBR
Bengal and delta
Bhagalpur, Rajmahal, Rajshahi and Barisal transition toward the vast delta.
Experience tips
The beginning is a real mountain leg: do not be fooled by the river theme.
Lower down, let the river guide navigation; the flight becomes almost contemplative.
